Actions of residents of Akropong-Akuapem highly indicate that they are expecting their new Paramount Chief (Okuapehene) to be outdoored today, Sunday, May 3, 2020.
GhanaWeb's very reliable sources in Akropong including eyes on the ground highly suggest that the new Okuapehene would be sworn-in and outdoored on Sunday.
There is tight security around the forecourt of the Akropong palace. Many residents are also loitering around the palace with some making insinuations that "the young boy will be made complete chief today."
Others also said, "Today, we are going to have our Okuapehene."
Residents are also seen wearing black with white calicos round their necks and as scarfs on their heads.
In an interview with one of the residents, she said, most of them are in black because mother of the newly installed Okuapehene, Odehye Kwadwo Kesse, had passed on.
She added that the white scarfs and calicos signify their victory and jubilation over the fact that they are going to have an "eligible Okuapehene today."
Due to the tight security and to ensure that the law on public gathering and social distancing rule is adhered to, no media person is allowed entry into the premises of the palace.
