The Deputy Director of Communications for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buaben Asamoah, has warned lead counsel for the third respondent in the ongoing Supreme Court case, Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata, to be of his best behavior when he walks into the courtroom and put a stop to generating unnecessary attention for himself.

Speaking on Okay FM, Mr. Yaw Buaben Asamoah who is also a lawyer by profession noted that Mr. Tsikata uses 70% of his time to fight anybody who opposes him in court and as a result of that loses focus, when it comes to asking the star witness questions. Yaw Buaben Asamoah continued that when it came to asking the same question “over and over”, Lawyer Tsikata had allocated 30% of his time for that and ends up saying nothing profitable in court.

“When he comes to court, he uses 70% of his time to fight the court and 30% to ask Bawumia questions which he knows would be rubbished by the court”, he stated.

“When it comes to asking of questions, the court is now fed up because he has been asking the same questions over and over again. We call that re-ploughing. What he is doing is like using a tractor to turn up the soil for more than two times and after that applying a harrow…before you are done, you would have lost the entire nutrient in the soil. The court has told him to put a stop to that”, Mr. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah said.

He ended by advising Mr. Tsikata not to allow "fake" praises eat into his head. He posited that it clear Mr. Tsikata was scared to put an end to his cross- examination because he personally knows he hasn’t performed a yeoman job his praise singers expect from him.

Mr. Buaben Asamoah offered that it was better for Mr. Tsikata to end his cross examination abruptly, than to continue to dent his reputation.
