Concerning the problems facing the community, the chief of Asuboni, Nana Ampoma Danso, mentioned a collapsed market centre and dilapidated school buildings as issues they want addressed.

On his part, the vice president assured them that their needs would be met and urged them to send their children to school since the government is doing its best to provide quality education.

He announced that an amount of 150 million dollars has been contracted from the Chinese government to expand telephone facilities in the country.

At a rally in Nkawkaw, the vice president urged the people to return the NPP to power to continue with the developmental projects it has initiated.

"We are upgrading senior secondary schools in every district so that people in the localities would enjoy quality education. We have brought inflation down to 10 percent and we are going to fight poverty not by putting money into people's pockets but through infrastructure", he declared.

He said the Party's support base is a clear indication of the good leadership being exhibited by the President as well as the developmental projects being undertaken in the rural areas.

"I wish people will move from Accra to the countryside to see the support that the party is enjoying", he added.

Alhaji Aliu Mahama advised party supporters not to see opposition parties as enemies but as competitors whiles urging them to ensure decency in their campaigns in order not to undermine the peace in the country.
