Portuguese Premiera side, Vitoria Guimaraes are planning to extend Alhassan Wakaso’s contract by at least a further year.
According to A Bola, the Guimaraes-based club believe they will need the services of the 26-year-old midfielder beyond 2021 when his current deal expires.
Although the newspaper leads with a renewal to keep him at the club until 2022, there would also be scope for an extra season if both agree to it.
The one-time Ghana international is a key member of Luís Castro's side as he has started in all of their league matches so far.
