Former President John Dramani Mahama has asked delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Sene East Constituency to give him a resounding victory in the December 7 presidential primary.
He said a massive victory for him will send a strong signal to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) about the preparedness of the NDC to reclaim power.
“Vote massively so that our brothers in the NPP will know that we are serious,” Mr Mahama canvassed for support at the start of his tour of the Brong Ahafo Region.
The former president will be in the Region for the next five days to campaign.
He has already been to the Central and Northern regions.
Starting the Brong Ahafo tour on Thursday, Mr Mahama said the electoral defeat of the NDC in 2016 was divinely orchestrated to give Ghanaians an opportunity to witness the bad governance of the Nana Addo-led NPP.
He said the defeat also afforded the NDC to take stock and reorganise ahead of the next elections.
But he said victory can come closer in 2020 if the opponents realise that he has massive support from his party.
He, therefore, asked the delegates to give him a massive victory on December 7, 2018.
