At least some 8 names of minors have been expunged from the voters’ register at the Zingu polling station in the Wa central constituency, media reports have confirmed.
The Presiding Officer , Jacob Sena who disclosed this to the EIB Election Hub team that visited the polling station said the centre is also recording exceptionally high number of persons going through manual verification.
So far about 11 persons have gone through the manual verification with others waiting for manual verification forms to take their turn as the forms have run out, reports say.
The 2016 general elections have taken shape in all centres across the country with low incidence of disturbances recorded.
Ghana’s electoral Commission has said it will address a Press conference every two hours until polls are closed.
