Waasland-Beveren’s relegation fight has been dealt a huge blow with the injury of Ghana winger Nana Amponsah.
Ampomah is set for ‘several weeks’ on the sidelines after picking an injury in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Sint-Truiden.
The 23-year-old suffered the setback on the artificial grass field of STVV and had to leave the stadium in a wheel chair.
Ampomah, who has scored seven goals in 22 league matches, remains key for club who are in the relegation zone.
Waasland-Beveren are second bottom on the table with 22 points after 25 rounds of matches.
