Watch as Duncan-Williams breaks down in tears after touching eulogy by Eastwood Anaba’s wife

The presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, could not hold back his tears after a touching eulogy by Rosemond Anaba, the wife of Rev Eastwood Anaba, the founder of Fountain Gate Chapel.

After a sermon at the headquarters of the Action Chapel Ministry in Accra, Eastwood Anaba called on his wife to thank Archbishop Duncan-Williams, who was celebrating his 67th birthday, for the many things he has done for their family.

Rosemond Anaba began her eulogy by saying that the success of her husband’s ministry would not have been possible without the support of the Archbishop.

She recounted how Archbishop Duncan-Williams gave Eastwood Anaba the opportunity to preach in his church and also sent him abroad to preach.

“On the occasion of your 67th birthday, many words will fill me to show appreciation. Whatever my husband is today, I believe that it is because of the seed that you sowed in him.

"I remember when we got married, the first time he had to come to Action to preach. And the message I remember was 'The Challenge of Jabez'. He came back home and said, 'Papa has asked me to come back and preach.' And I was like, 'Wow.' And it wasn't long after that he came back and said, 'Papa says I should travel and go to London,'” she said.

She added that one action of the archbishop she would be ever grateful for was when he was sending them 50,000 old cedis to support their work in the northern part of Ghana.

“I remember those days. Every month, he used to bring us 50,000 old cedis. Today it is worth 50 million cedis. We used to look forward to this money those days. And any time the money came, it was like rain from heaven. Papa, you have no idea the lives you sustained with those monies.”

The wife of Eastwood Anaba also recalled how Duncan-Williams and his wife used to receive them at their home and allowed them to fellowship with them at the Action Chapel, which she indicated was a life-changing experience.

“The opportunity we always got to come to Action, see the place, come to the house, sleep in your home. It opened our eyes. It gave us exposure. Even without travelling outside the borders of this nation. Papa, the love and everything that you gave to us, on your 67th birthday, anytime you said anything, I said, 'Papa, wa da roma.' And from the depths of my heart, I continue to say it is because of you that we are here today.

“People talk about Pastor Eastwood everywhere but the genesis, Papa, is you and we are so grateful. So grateful. Thank you so much,” she said.

As Rosemond Anaba was speaking, her husband could be seen kneeling as he shed tears of joy.

An emotional Duncan-Williams could also be seen being consoled by his wife, Rosa Whitaker Duncan-Williams.
