A young boy who welcomed Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II during his historic visit to Cape Coast as part of the Fetu festival made Otumfuo hold his flag for him.

In the video capturing the scene, the boy, who is said to have pleased Otumfuo with his welcome dance, was asked by the king to sit closer to him.

When the boy needed to leave his seat to attend to something, he asked the Asantehene to hold his flag, and later returned to retrieve it.

While it is unclear where the boy was headed, he handed over his flag to the Asantehene and left the scene. The other chiefs present couldn't hold their laughter.

Otumfuo, on the other hand, smiled and humbly held onto the flag. One of the chiefs, however, asked the Asantehene to hand over the flag to him [the chief], but the king declined and held onto it until the boy returned.

According to reports, the little boy, known as Chief Justice, performed a traditional dance with a red Asafo flag to welcome Otumfuo.

After presenting Otumfuo with the red flag initially, he touched it three times. The inscription on the flag was "Akwaaba Otumfuo."
