Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to carry a positive attitude of the nation into the future, cautioning all to be guided by the mistakes of the past.
“We must believe in Ghana and do what is right by our nation, and thereby fulfill the dreams and aspirations of those far-sighted individuals who initiated the steps for our national freedom and independence.”
Nana Addo made these remarks in a statement on Friday, March 6 to wish Ghanaians well after 58 years of independence.
“On behalf of the leadership and membership of the New Patriotic Party, we wish all Ghanaians a Happy Independence Anniversary,” the statement opens.
He called on Ghanaians to have confidence in the fortunes of the country.
“We must stride into the future, confident that we will make it if we work at it.”
The two-time presidential candidate was among dignitaries at the Black Star Square to witness the celebration.
