Frank Annoh-Dompreh, New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region is at a loss as to why former President John Dramani Mahama is seeking to become president again despite enjoying his term to the fullest.

He catalogued various positions occupied by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer in politics from the local level up to when he exited power on January 7, 2017 as President yet appears unsatisfied and is staging a comeback.

“He has been an assemblyman, a Presiding Member, a Member of Parliament, a Deputy Minister, a Minister, a Vice President and President. What you want Ghanaians to do for you has been done. The stage you have reached is enough, go and take some rest for others to continue from where you left off”, he said to an applause at a funeral.

According to the ranking member of foreign affairs, the former president despite being a beneficiary of free secondary education is standing against same wondering what he is seeking another term to do, that has not been achieved under the current dispensation.

“All the things you want to do have all been executed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the current NPP administration. We will plead with you to take a bow because Ghanaians are enjoying free SHS, restoration of Teachers and Nursing trainee allowances among others which you scrapped”, he observed.

The lawmaker urged those within the NDC to join the NPP because it is a party, which positive effect on the Ghanaian economy affects all irrespective of which party they belong.
