Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa, trended over the weekend after videos of her participation at the NSPPD Ghana Prayer Conference, organized by the Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, flooded social media.

In the viral footage, Jean Mensa who serves as Ghana’s Electoral Commissioner was seen leading a session of testimonies at the church event.

She was captured introducing worshippers who shared accounts of miraculous healings.

“Papa, this young lady came here with pain in her shoulder. She testified that she had this pain for two years and couldn’t lift her hand. But after you asked that they should do what they hadn’t done before, she started…” Jean Mensa was heard saying.

After the video surfaced online, social media users reacted with mixed emotions with some praising her for her faith and others criticizing her public involvement in religious activities.

One user wrote, “She’s doing the work of the Lord, her Savior and Master Jesus. God bless her.”

Another commenter, however, said, “Good, she’s reminding us she needs to be sacked and she will get it too.”

A third added, “Good, she’s found a befitting job. Can she now hand over the EC office peacefully without any show of force… so nobody gets hurt? Anyway, that’s where bad people hide the House of the Lord.”

Others were simply astonished by her presence at the event, with one remarking, “Wow… that’s a big woman. The Electoral Commissioner of Ghana oo… I’m speechless.”
