The Police are looking for a female cash transaction officer of a rural bank in the Ashanti region for allegedly absconding with a customer’s deposit of GHc2,250.

She was arrested and granted a police enquiry bail last Sunday by the Akrokerri Police, but left the area with her 14-year-old daughter, Helena Boakye and Lucky Doo, 3.

An uncle of the suspect, Owura Kwadwo said Afrakoma and the children left their home some hours after being granted bail.

According to him, he informed the Assembly man of Akrokerrifie Electoral area, Kwame Appiah, about the incident, who organized a search party to look for Adwoa Afrakoma.

The police is calling on the public to volunteer information that would lead to her arrest.

The mobile banker was arrested by the police at Akrokerri under the Obuasi Municipal Police Command for allegedly refusing to present to the monies of a particular customer to the bank.

She claimed in a statement to the police that the GH¢2,250 was handed over to the accountant of the bank who has reportedly absconded.

The police alleged that the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the bank’s customer who could not withdraw his money at the bank.
