What if the loss was due to wrong accounting by someone else or think of other scenarios? Unfortunately many people in Ghana get away when they damage people's hard earned reputation. Obviously, the rights of individuals are not respected and so are the laws working?

By the way, bankers should also learn what to do with workers like Evelyn (assuming she actually did something wrong). Public disclosure of malfeasance at banks destroy the banks image and public confidence. Any punishment should have been purely internal - Payback, suspension, dismissal etc. By the way, I am a bankers' trainer.

Now this woman and her children have left home, where they are only God knows. we should be looking for them not because of the alleged theft but because they need to be protected. This case will be enough reason for her to take her life and those of her children. Looking at the whole issue and serious fraudulent issues that have happened in the past at high places but the perpetrators are receiving praises, I quickly conclude that society is not fair. Mind you, I am not supporting criminality but solicit your level headedness to understand this point of view!

This crime is very rampant in most banks in Ghana. It happened to me. When I checked my balance it was different from the total amount taken to the bank. When I realized it a few years later and confronted the Bank Manager with some of the receipts, all he did was to credit my account. Those transactions that I lost the receipt, I never got my money back. The modus operandum is as follows:
You go to the bank to deposit money. A paper receipt is given to you but the money never gets deposited into your account.

we used to cary out more than 90,000 cedis worth of transactions a day to the various banks. and with time when we realised there would be not opportunities and we were just being taken adavantage of my colleague and myself started "paying" ourselves..

aside my 200 salary i was earning around 2000 a month of "non existent" money called losso..

thats what happens when dreams are shattered and employers take adavatage of mass unemployed youths..

i wish her well and hope they never find her..
