Ghanaian international, Yaw Frimpong has turned down a deal to sign for USL side, Phoenix Rising FC FootballMadeInGhana.com can reveal.
The former TP Mazembe player was rumored to be on his way to the USA, where he will append his signature to documents of the club, but investigations by this website show that, Yaw Frimpong has turned down the offer.
According a source close to the player, the club signed a pre-contract with him weeks before the expiration of his contract with Mazembe and he was expected to be in the US to finalise the deal.
However, Yaw Frimpong turned down the deal, an action our investigations revealed, has to do with monetary agreement between him and the club.
As it stands now, only two Ghanaians now ply their trade in at the club – his former Mazembe colleagues, Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako, who have sealed their deals and are currently on pre-season tour.
