A deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) Yaw Preko says Ghanaians wil not be gambling with the destiny of the nation by handing over to ex-President John Mahama as President once again.

According to him, Ghanaians will do themselves a great disservice if they hand over Ghana to Mr. Mahama for a ‘remedial classes’ as he’ll once again fail woefully by heaping hardship on the citizenry.

The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says he has learned useful lessons and is seeking a comeback in order to transform the country.

The former President said his experiences will help him devise practical strategies that would give hope to the millions of Ghanaians.

He said he has “been there before, I’ve experienced it, I’ve learnt useful lessons, I’ve reviewed issues and events.”

Mahama was speaking at the inauguration of the NDC’s manifesto committee in Accra on Wednesday.

“I’m coming back to you together with my party, the NDC, with what will be a practicable strategy for laying a solid foundation for the transformation of our country,” he stated.

“We are coming to give you hope and address your concerns and challenges because we feel your suffering and we believe in opportunity for all, not just a few as we are witnessing today.”

But Yaw Preko in an interview with Host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM stated that if Mr. Mahama has learned any lessons he should use to improve his own life and leave Ghanaians alone.

“What at all has he learnt from his mistakes that he needs another term in office to implement. What’s the difference he’s coming to make now after eight years in office. All we hear him say is that I’ll review this, I’ll review that. While in office whatever he reviewed he ended up canceling it like the Teachers trainee, Nurses trainee, and Book and Research allowances. Ghanaians will not allow Mahama to do remedial classes with our destiny. If he’s learnt his lessons as he claims he should stay home. Everyone gains an experience to improve his or her life, if Mahama has any he should use it to improve his own life as he still has more years ahead of him and leave Ghanaians alone. Mr Mahama won’t be given a second chance for Ghana to retrogress under his watch.”
