Former Hearts of Oak and Falkengberg FF striker, Kwame Kizito says it is difficult for a foreign player to have a social life when playing in Libya.

The forward joined the Libyan top-flight club Al-Ittihad Tripoli in 2018 after partying ways with Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking to Football Channel on his time in the country, Kwame Kizito revealed that it was impossible to have a social life away from the football life because of the violence in the country.

“No. There is no life in Libya. You are afraid to go out and just invent something. You can't go out at night, it's very dangerous. So I sat in the hotel - you can't go out and have fun. In Sweden, you can go anywhere. You can go out alone and do one or the other. In Libya, it is very difficult for you to even go out. When you go out, you may not be quite sure what will happen to you”, the attacker shared.

He added, “It was really bad. After the matches, you could see the fight. I was a foreigner so I definitely didn't want to be involved. They were outside the arenas and fought. It's crazy. After the matches you have to be together and have a good time, but when it was over there could be fights and sometimes it was shooting. I decided not to go back to Libya. There is nothing good there”.

Kwame Kizito completed a single season in Libya and rejected a contract extension offer from Al-Ittihad Tripoli.
