Public Relations Officer of embattled gold dealership firm Menzgold, Nii Armah Amarteifio has described Adom FM's Captain Smart interview with a Menzgold customer as an ‘act of ignorance’.

This follows the Management of Menzgold’s announcement on Friday, December 27, 2019, that they had begun paying some 200 customers whose funds were locked-up with the company.

However, the claim has been refuted as false by some customers who say they have not received any payment of their locked-up funds although the management of the company announced that they have commenced payments.

Nevertheless, a certain Ernest Oppong claimed that he has received his payment from Menzgold hence the call from Adom FM to interview him on how true his claim was because he seemed to have been the only one to have been paid by the company.

But it seems the line of questioning from Captain Smart with Ernest Oppong didn't sit well with the Menzgold PRO who was alleged to have sent the customer in question's contact details to Adom FM hence decided to face the radio show host.

“I was called that you are interviewing one of our customers who have been paid and when I tuned in to listen, I saw that you exhibited a lot of ignorance in terms of your operations with Menzgold. Most of the questions you were asking the customer were not the questions I was expecting from you but you went ahead with it anyway”

“A question like which category is the customer belonged to was mind-boggling because at Menzgold there is no category, every customer is a customer and you added gold, platinum and I don't know where you got that from,” said Nii Armah Amarteifio in an interview with Captain Smart on December 30.

Menzgold since its collapse in 2018 following a suspension order from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been struggling to refund its investors and customers funds.
