Ghana@50: Ghanaian Community in Winnipeg, Canada Plans Big

The Ghanaian Community in Manitoba is organizing series of activities in celebration of Ghana’s Golden Jubilee. The following are highlights of the planned activities:
Sunday March 4, 2006: Golden Jubilee Non-Denominational Community Church Service at Free Methodist Church, 928 Cavelier Drive. The service will be officiated by the Resident Pastor Joseph Seidu
Tuesday March 6, Thursday March 8, 6.30 P.M – 8.30 P. M and Saturday March 10, 10.30 A.M – 12.30 P.M:
Ghana History & Information Night at the Winnipeg Millennium Library, Carol Shield Auditorium, 251 Donald Street, Downtown Winnipeg Pictorial and Slide Show on Ghana’s History and development since Independence
Admission: Free

Ghana Cultural Night: “AGORO”: Showcasing the best in ourselves Forest Nickerson Auditorium, Deaf Center, 285 Pembina Highway
Admission: $10.00
Saturday March 17, 2007: 6.30. PM – 1.00 A.M
Celebration Banquet and Dance/Cultural Performances
Fort Garry Hotel, 222 Broadway Avenue
Special Guest of Honor: Hon. Gary Doer, Premier of Manitoba
Key-Note Speaker: Dr. Em?ke J.E. Szathmáry
President and Vice-Chancellor, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg
Admission: $60.00
Proceeds in aid of the Korle Bu Neurological Center in Accra, Ghana
