Bawku (UER), Jan. 14, GNA- Fire gutted four houses in the Bawku Municipality on Sunday night, damaging some properties before it was put off.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Bawku, Superintendent Peter King Gyinae, Bawku Municipal Commander of Police said the fire was set to the houses at about 1130 hours but was quickly put off before it could spread. He said nobody was injured and there were no shooting incidents that night.
Police Supt. Gyninae said the Security Personnel had intensified surveillance in the area and assured all that peace was being maintained in the Municipality.
