In 1701 when Ashanti clash with Denkyeras, Naa Zagli had to send troops to help ashantes combat the Denkyeras ( rattray 1929, p47-48). So they couldn't have been a war between the two tribes during. They had never been a single war between Dagombas and ashantes. If you insist so then tell me the name of the war. Number of fallen heroes, both Asante side and Dagombas side. Every war has a ñame but i never heared the name of that purported war between Dagombas and ashantes. We know of the war between Dagombas and Germans called the Battle of Adiboo
