It would have been better to buy electric trains but that wasn't the plan from the begining as the lines itself weren't built for electric trains. We don't have overhead electric cables to to power the trains. That can be built later but we also need to isolate and fence off the train lines to prevent pedestrians from crossing and walking on them.. this afternoon I saw pedestrians walking on that line itself on my way to Kpone. All these will add to the cost but it's necessary we find money to build rail systems throughout the country. It will greatly improve passenger and cargo movement and add to our GDP!
