This is not new. Fraudulent has become one the ways some Ghanaians makes their easy money to live luxury lives. In Today's world the bad people have made you can trust anyone. Very sad.

A doctor should be smart enough to buy land without checking from land commission. All one will want to buy land from l legitimate individuals not anyone. Buy land that has title and cross check a land with land commission.

For me, I wouldn't blame the victim because she had the will in investing 50k dollars in her home country so she did the right thing but just met the wrong person. It was a sole duty of the culprit to have fulfil his part of the deal as a right thinking member of society. I also won't her for the reason being that even lawyers have been in such situation the Doctor went through. So my only suggestion is that while we are in Ghana eating Fufu and palm nut soap let's do our background search for a true friend we can entrust our future in incase we will immigrate in future. And also look out for firms that are reputable enough to not want to loose their reputation. Then combining both entity will be a good step in my opinion while you are still in Ghana. That true friend could be your Mom, your homegrown sister or brother. I'm using the word "homegrown". Don't come and say family is dangerous. But all of these suggestion I made does not guarantee that you'll be free from fraudulent crisis, even Kenedy Agyapong has land issues in Adjiringanor East Legon Accra.

Anytime someone is putting up a building, an employment chain is established. Carpenters, masons, laborers, lands commission employees, district assembly employees, landowners,hardware suppliers, cement factories and their employees-(the list is endless) - all get their daily bread through it. You might be tempted to think our system will protect such endeavors. Disappointingly, this is usually not the case. It is rather seen as an opportunity to fleece the individual. You are seen as the magnanimous Santa in town.

Trust no one especially your friends. I will not be surprised if your friend is in on it. The poverty has created a lot of envy and jealousy in the system.
You should never have listened to Harry’s pleading.
All the defrauding I have personally suffered are from close friends.

Some are these: verify them and owe them all the time and pay only after verifying execution. When their money is with you, they will do the work. If your money is with them, they will kalabuley you. Never expose yourself to loss. Verify and verify before you dispatch any money.

The con man milked you dry. Fortunately, he was arrested. You know he's a [part owner of a night club. Instead of accepting his assurance to the Police that he'll repay you once released, you should have had your lawyer to file suit against the crook and place a freeze on his shares in the club and other assets you may discover. At least, those frozen assets could have been used to partially defray your loss, but your inaction has given the crook to dispose of his shares in the club while also hiding any bank assets he might have. The only word of a crook that is believable is restitution being placed in your hand, not promises to repay.
