When Akufo-Ado talks about reviewing freeSHS that he believes is the future of the youth it is definitely not the kind of review of John Dramani who didn't support freeSHS and never believed in it. If freeSHS is the reason Ghana is at IMF, I am happy about it. At least spending on the youth is the most important investment a nation can make. Build a perfect country and hand it to an ignorant generation and they will mess it up! There wasn't freeSHS in 2013 but John Mahama took us to IMF. Going to IMF in itself isn't a crime but the reasons which led you there. In the case of John Dramani it was a local, home-grown problem which he failed to solve with his so-called "Home-grown" solutions. Any economists who talks about the world economy after 2019 without reference to covid or global security should go back to school. Period! Corruption in public sector has always been a problem in Africa as a whole but the global economic situation is definitely part of our problem.

IF YOU EARN LESS THAN 150 K A YEAR YOU GET GOVERNMENT SUPPORT......BUT HERES THE CATCH.......YOU HAVE TO SUBMIT A CURRENT TAX RETURN TO JUSTIFY YOUR CLAIM FOR THE BENIFIT.....IF YOU DON'T LODGE A CURRENT TAX RETURN TO BE ASSESSED ,THEN YOUR CLAIM IS DENIED....UNTIL YOU DO ...SO YOU PAY THE SHS...

Ken rather proposed a means-testing approach that will target the poor, but his power-hungry cousin was only consumed by sheer populism. How many times have this clueless Akufo-Addo-Bawuliar government not gone back on their words? Cessation of road tools, we will not tax MoMo, we will move from taxation to production, we shall not go to the IMF and now we shall not review FSHS today, we shall not review tomorrow. You have given Mahama a very good opportunity to right all your wrongs and be credited with a working system, when you had been offered this advice long ago. What manner of empty-heads have destroyed the NPP brand to this level of absurdity?

It is a fact that after several years of the implementation of any project or programme, a review takes place to smoothen rough edges and make necessary changes. Why some Ghanaians were calling for a review immediately the programme was started is beyond the comprehension of any well meaning or well intentioned person. Has the free education in the North ever been reviewed? And yet these are the very people calling for a review of the free SHS simply bcos the NPP implemented it.
