  Thank you, papa. Exploitation is the word. You said it all! Tax tax tax! Create more jobs (factories/manufacturing industries etc, so that Ghanaians can find work to do.

  Nkwasea Tax. The name "emissions tax" is just right. The tax is not meant to reduce the emission of exhaust fumes into the atmosphere but to increase them. If people have no money to buy new vehicles or repair old ones, why impose tax on them. This tax would put additional burden on vehicle owners who would use monies meant for vehicle maintenance to pay the tax. So this tax would rather promote more vehicle smoke into the atmosphere than to prevent it. Why not stop vehicles that do not pass standard emission test from plying our roads? This tax only tells you how desperate the government is. Very soon, I'll not be surprised, if they introduce WALKING TAX for walking on the ground.

  This tax is not imposed to tackle carbon emission, its a way of taking more money away from the already impoverished Ghanaian people. Its not only cars that gives out carbon emission, look at how carbon emission is already covering much of ghana from the burning of rubbish and other things everyday, but nothing is being said or done about that. So they find a easy target which is the motorist. People need to get about and need to use transport in one way or the other, so target transport. Its not enough that they are already killing people with so many taxes, including the covid tax (where is the covid?) They want to cause more misery on top of misery to the people of Ghana. Clearly shows that this government has no ounce of humanity for people!
