B.J da Rocha (of blessed memory) advised the NPP leadership not to accept Alan Kyeremateng back into the fold upon his resignation from the Party in 2008, he was ignored. Today, Alan, having benefitted immensely from the Party's largesse, first as Ambassador to the USA (2001-2004), Trade and Industry Minister (2004-2008), and again, Trade & Industry Minister (2017-2023), he is now diabolically making every effort to ensure the Party goes into Opposition. If the economy is indeed in dire straits, as he wants Ghanaians to believe, he is quick to hypocritically dissociate himself from whatever was done wrong even though he was a Cabinet Minister, who, as Trade and Industry Minister, was one of those who had centre-stage responsibility in the management of the economy. How well did Alan handle Kuffour's 'Presidential Initiatives Programme' which was attached to his Ministry? Needless to say, he failed miserably. On his avowed mission of campaign of calumny against the NPP, one would have expected him to tell the people of Ghana what he did to improve the economy, and how many jobs he created as Trade & Industry Minister? At his age, he must know when he is shooting himself in the foot, and how rapidly he is descending into the doldrums, and forcing himself into the unenviable roll call of high profile failed politicians of our time.

There was a cause and effect resulting in the near crash of Ghana's already fragile economy since colonial times, i.e., the Covid and Ukraine war. Infact any govt that claims it can restore Ghana's economy within 4 or 8 years is completely lying. Kagame whom people are touting has been at the helm of affairs for over 30 years. As Ghanaians we don't face realities. Certain fundamentals must be established right, such as: human resource development, infrastructure, citizen security, good governance, etc. The 2nd phase of NNP rule will definitely accelerate industrial development (not the huhudious 24 hour economy), job creation, improved health, and so on so to me let's vote Bawumia who is bristling with fresh ideas for us to continue the good foundation laid by NPP. Thank you
