There are sales taxes by states and localities as well as property taxes. Some states do also tax on income and the rates differ. In Texas we don’t pay ANY income tax at all.

If most Ghanaian were to be taxed in the US system they will not pay a dime, rather they will be given huge refunds due to the multiple credits the gov. allows.
