  It seems the NDC "Fool Soldiers" do not understand the word "OPTIONAL". It simply means, making a person choice. Why should we, as a nation, "FORCE" people to do things against their will, while we practice democracy? I will rather prefer that people who choose to participate in the National Service Scheme be given incentives as against those who choose not to engage in it. This will help most people to make informed choices, rather than coercing them to do the National Service. I rest my case, and no one should insult me.

  Making nss optional could mean that allowances for nsp is also optional.

  Why would u want to do national service when u have a job to do , anyone who want to do national service is doing it because he or she has no work to do , so why not make it optional for those who have no work doing so they can do it in search of work ooook those who learn trade carpentry , etc what about police , military , fire , immigration etc all of them working there do they do national service ..... With this national service certificate will no longer be needed when applying for job so a graduate can get employment after completion....
