Free education initiatives have been around for a long time since Nkrumah time such as FCUBE and others but work perfectly without issues will less money. Now these baffuns have cooked lies and expert ignorant Ghanaians to believe the BS. They just schemed to rig the country to its core. Judgement is coming soon.

We have to push for radical constitutional amendments that take the power away from sitting prezs and give it to the parliament and the citizens. The president has too much power and freedom to do what ever he likes without proper checks and balances. He appoints all the top heads of the state institutions which end up working in his favour and the encourages him to be corrupt. The president and the winning party have become like dictators and they take decisions that favour only them which is to the disadvantage of the entire country.

And also go with an all inclusive government system that will include any party that gets more than 5 percent as key stakeholders that will take decisions in making longterm goals for the country and decisions from borrowings to deals to immutable decisions for long term implementations until a given time.

The winner takes all system will not help Africa. The kind of democracy we are practicing is very outdated and needs reform.

This constitution was made since 1992, Jerry's time. I pray that the next incoming government will make this the highest priority to set Ghana as good example in Africa for others to follow.

Let's all unit and transform this country.

Ghanaians are lucky to have this government in power during these two setbacks, covid-19 and Russia invasion of Ukraine. The current economic hardships would have been worse than this if JDM is president of Ghana. Look at how we suffered at his hands when global economy was stable and growing and how did Ghana went to IMF in the first place as there was no pandemic and no war that threatened global economy ? Covid-19 and Russia invasion of Ukraine indeed made every government reviewed its budget whether the economy is big or small. Bigger economies cancelled some economic aids, grants etc to smaller economies like Ghana and you blame Ken Ofori Attah and Nana Akufo Addo for recklessness. I reside in States and prices of goods and services have shot up astronomically. A big merchandise store like Costco Wholesale, before COVID, a crate of 40 bottles of water cost $1.99. As I write this message, the same crate sells at $3.99. A bag of 25lbs Kirkland rice which was selling at $11.99 now sells at $18.99. Prices have shot up globally. Even UK reported last week that the country was in recession for the third and fourth quarters of 2023. Ghanaians please, talk to your families in the diaspora and ask how the COVID-19 and the invasion of Ukraine have impacted the economy in these countries. The problem I have with all the political parties is mother CORRUPTION!! Almost all the political leaders are corrupt and just the the COVID-19, this has cascaded down to all sectors of the economy. I was in Ghana in 2023 for couple of weeks and decided to get my Ghana driver license in Kumasi. I was asked to pay GHC 2,500 before the form could be filled out for me. We all know that, to get enlisted to the security agencies like the police, immigration, prison, military and others, one has to pay a protocol fee of thousands of cedis. Is the government not aware of all these corrupt practices. I will continue another time.

Ghana has been to the IMF 17 times under different regimes, civilian and military. Each time, the problem has been the same; and the prescription has been the same ie: LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS. We may blame the Nana Addo administration for two things, ie not learning from previous errors, and further, recklessly overspending the vastly increased sources of revenue. As for the overall weakness of the economy, Ghanaians should be honest to admit that ALL PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS HAVE CONTRIBUTED. We should look for a Government of National Unity ; one with the motto : GHANA FOR ALL, ALL FOR GHANA. We should admit that under the present dispensation, it will be extremely hard for either of the two major political parties to make the fundamental changes that are necessary for REAL SUSTAINABLE IMPROVEMENT..
