Not that I support the building of a national cathedral, but there are so many political hypocrites in Ghana. If Akufo-Ado didn't build the cathedral as he promised, the same people criticizing him everyday for building it would accuse him of not fulfilling his promises. Even those he has fulfilled more than 70 percent, they say he hasn't fulfilled anything. The same people accusing him for implementing freeSHS, would go on campaign platforms to ask why he didn't implement it. The ordinary Ghanaian must sit reflect if they have to listen to everything the NDC says. Party communicators and politicians would speak because they will benefit directly in power. What about we the ordinary people, what would be our benefit? That's why we ought to examine policies and not emotions or propaganda. NDC will bring handout policies like GYEEDA, SADA, tree planting etc where at the end of the day you can't trace where the money goes. They can point to a single tree alive for the money spent in the north on tree planting. Tell me how they're gonna implement or even audit the so-called 24-hour economy. How would they guarantee that increase number of work hours will increase productivity and profit? Yet you have people with PhD in economics support this bogus idea. An idea even the world's strongest economies are not ablecto implement as central government policy. A certain Ghana with phd in economics resident U.S.A. said 24-hour economy is possible in Ghana. How many cities or businesses in U.S. run 24-hour hours besides the security, hospitals, industries, and essential services which are already doing so in Ghana. Extremely strange that a project like this was Not even mentioned or discussed in our Parliament as part of our Constitution. But was clandestinely carried out and state funds used by stealth. This is completely unacceptable. Cathedrals take years to build and is Not something to be toyed with. You’re talking about a Spiritual place for Christians. Christians of different religious practices or worship services. Any Deeper Spiritual persons should know and respect these different practices before embarking on a spiritual project of this kind. But again this is Ghana where we take things for granted plunging into things we don’t understand exposing ourselves to various unnecessary pressures and challenges or problems. If this Cathedral project was properly discussed in our Parliament considering other Religious practices in the country things wouldn’t have got to this stage of messed ups.
