Having impressed and qualified, the President thought it wise to maintain him for the tournament. He however made it clear that he will leave after the world cup regardless of the outcome. I think he has done a good job and must be given total support provided he is now willing to accept full responsibility.

What is needed at the GFA now is for them to change their constitution to allow outsiders to contest the GFA president position. As at now, only team owners are eligible to contest for the position. Also, only team owners can be on the executive committee. But we all know that you don't have to be a medical doctor to be a minister of health, or an army general to be a minister of defense. It's the same that you don't have to be a team owner to be a football association boss. There are a lot of non-team owners in the country who can manage the GFA better than the present administration. It was Kwesi Nyantakyi who introduced that law to enable him to control the association the way he wants. Moreover, the President of the GFA and his executive committee members are all agents of players and so how can they be neutral in player selections for the national teams. Every Ghanaian must be able to contest for the position of the GFA president and not only team owners.
