Canada has one of the best social safety nets: Health is free from cradle to grave. What has she given during her tenure. Ministers nor MPs live in government accommodations. She should learn from it.
Education is practically free until you enter University. You will still be granted a bursary or student loan. Canada pays mostly hourly rates for salaries.
Where did she pay $2,000 per month for a room. Another thing is that regardless if a basic room is $2,000 a month, you only pay the first and last month's rent plus your utilities.
What has she done under her governments administration to fix the exorbitant 12 or 24 month rent advance Landlords collect from tenants who have to take a loan to be able to afford rent.
Leave Canada alone, which you cannot compare to any other country, let alone Ghana.

So if cleaners are taking $4000 paychecks a month in Canada and pay rent as you claimed, how do you compare it to workers in Ghana, where the average salary is less than $300 a month. This has been largely due to poor management, from successive Governments to read the tea-leaves,and put into money into projects ,that can realise a return on there investments.many projects have been duds. and a total waste of hard earned cash.Now we read that Ghana is in debt distress from Credit agencies and is 4 years away to get anywhere close to what could be deemed an ecomony turn around ,so long as the right policies are in place and not reckless spending.
The key to Ghana's survival is a stable currency,keep inflation under control so the cost of consumerables are held in check, Exports need to increase ,and imports decrease....balance of payments need to be in positive territory.
You can't compare Ghana's economy to any in the Western World ,until there is a massive debt reduction....how you do that is a challenge, but can be done. When you say ,the cost of living in going up in Ghana, THATS BECAUSE WAGES ARE NOT INCREASING IN LINE WITH INFLATION,....INFLATION
WENT UP ,BUT WAGES DIDNT,SO THERE YOU HAVE IT......THE COST OF LIVING WENT UP BECAUSE THE WAGES NEVER INCREASED WITH INFLATION.
GET INFLATION DOWN AND COSTS WIĹ BECOME STABLE.

Infact I stopped listening further after I heard her say those foolist stuff and FAT LIES:

I have lived in the country for more than 35 years, and there's no time water was shut more than 1 hour and lights more than 10 (yes TEN) minutes.

When power is off, then certainly the landlord is having some repairs in your appartment/block. And that noramally take a maximim of 30 minutes (with at least ONE WEEK notice, befoer the work) and will happen a maximum of once in 8 years, so that power outages are VIRTUALLY out of question.

This is similar to water disruptions : I have had water 24 hours a day, 7 days in a week and 52 weeks in a year.

It seems he visited some Ghanaian who cannot pay electric and water bills, so the landlord/lady intentionally causing the interruptions.

For any new comers .. be careful of the cost of renting in British Colombia.. Alberta.. and Ontario..
Here in the province of New brunswick .. we're getting a large influx of Africans coming ..
For a 2 bedroom apartment here it's on average 1000-1200 $ ..
But don't forget that minimum wage in canada is now at 15$ + and hr.
