Ghaweb, you can do better! How do you conclude that the person is a convict when the case is not yet determined! This is a useless case! Go to the North and see. People live in compound houses with their cattle by their premises for fear of thieves. They use the bullocks to help them plough their farmlands and use the droppings of the cattle as manure on their farmlands. They also use cattle for customary rites including payment of bride prices. They rarely sell cattle for cash unless a dire need arises. If this man is sentenced then they should go and arrest the thousands of households up north and send them to prison, if that is possible. Or the law only applies to the cities? Our environmental health officers can do better by contextualising their studies to the local context, do further research to find out whether their reasons against keeping cattle by residential premises are evidence-based or dry theories!

What is wrong with Ghana as a country.. people think it's good to have these animals around human residents. Why, why why is it that we cannot obey simple laws..and why can't the government designated an area say a reserve for that matter so that if you want to rear such animals you take it to the reserve.. my grand children cannot enjoy their stay with me when visiting they can hardly stay outside because of Flies etc.quite worrisome.

In my father's house the fowls, goats/ sheep, dogs cats,cows we even have donkeys and horses living with us.
We have seperate rooms for them and we look after them.
Silly news.
