When Nkrumah was kicked out, the jubilation that came with it was countrywide. Nkrumah’s arbitrary rule and dictatorship kicked him out of office. He felt he could spread the Soviet Union Socialist ideas everywhere in Ghana. Even when Sekou Toure accommodated him and gave him a refuge in Guinea, Nkrumah wanted to dictate to him and turn Guinea to be a Socialist satellite.
Finally, Sekou Toure became tired of him and they were not in good terms when he died. He had a lonely death at his residence by the seaside without his children and wife Fatiha around. It served him right because of the way he treated his benefactors like Arko Adjei, and Obitsebi Lamptey.
