  This so-called concern by ICCO is a sham. How can EU threaten not to buy cocoa while at the same time lamenting about shortfalls. How can farmers and the nation spend large amounts of labour and inputs to produce cocoa only to receive paltry sums of $2000 for a ton. Cocoa production only breeds poverty for the farmers and the nation and it's hightime we boldly take a decision to either abandon cocoa farming or engage in strong negotiations to secure justifiable prices both at the farm gate and export levels

The suffering our fathers and mothers went through is so painful. But the cocoa board workers drive in land cruiser, have retirement, take all the scholarship for their children . The farmer is always poor and in shit everyday

  All the politicians should stop the nonsense the suffering of cocoa farmers is not only today. The nonsense of blaming one party is doesn’t make sense. There must be a structural support for the farmer who is in the bush with no electricity, hospitals, roads, schools, telephone and others . The stupid blame game of Npp , NDC is crazy and we the youth understand these corrupt evil blame games for sympathy votes. Neither NDC nor Npp is digging the right thing for you stomach supporters have a seat and think and stop the political foolishness in support the things you don’t understand because of the corrupt money you will receive. Time for people to think deep and call out these evil politicians in both NDC and Npp for the crime they are doing against farmers in Ghana

  Who are these racist and arrogant ICCO who are dictating everything about cocoa, from its production to its price at the world market, and threatening cocoa producing countries every now and then? It is about time our government considered crops that will yield more economic benefits to the farmer and the nation. Cocoa has always been overrated. We are at the losing end in the cocoa industry.

  Cocobod itself needs restructuring to cut down waste in manpower. So many employees at the headquarters without any job or work to do. Unnecessary wage bills crippling the one time vabrant company.
