Shut up Mr talkative and short man. We parents are rather suffering from this bogus program. It is NOT free. What I spend on my ward is far more than you can imagine. Most parents can attest the fact. Their feeding is nothing to hide, very very shameful and can best be compared to that of prisoners. What even drains parents are the periods in staying at home till they report back to school. The amount paid for vacation classes and other expenses will shock you to hear. The most shocking thing is the initial cash requirement to buy the items on the prospectus. How many parents of low status income will be able to raise such funds? Yet we pride ourselves into the idea that it is FREE. Most of us feel it and know that it is NOT free. It has rather down graded our a academic credentials and produced chaffs in most of the institutions. The biggest mistake is to have voted for these bunch of highly corrupt idiots with no manners and dignity ruling us with their foolishness and stupidity. Highly corrupt bunch of incompetent thieves led by the mother serpent of corruption himself

What is working is then taken forward and expanded on to give added value to the system. SHS is not free, it is paid for by all tax-payers! Ofori Atta warned Akufo Addo about the effect of the free SHS policy (a gimmic to win election) on the country’s finances but he didn’t listen, here we are!

But it faces myriad of challenges which the IMF has highlighted in its annual report. Whether improvement or enhancement, it is still a review. Akufo-Addo must just swallow his pride and accept inputs from stakeholders, especially parents in order to make the policy better.

I am glad The president has come to hiss right senses and admits there are flaws in the implementation of the FREE SHS program. This was introduced just for winning the votes of majority of Ghanaians who are well known for “Freebies”. There are about 65% of Citizens who are capable of taking care of their children but are Not allowed to do so under the ongoing programs. You’re branded as an enemy of the people by suggesting the program of Free SHS should apply to the poor and needy in our society through a Means Test. This is a rather simple and effective way to make sure the system of Free SHS works efficiently and effectively.

Debate must continue and urgent review is needed so that appropriate improvement can be instituted. After all it is NOT FREE, tax payers (including people with no children) are paying for it. The political fooling must stop.
