Why are our brains and black people so limited, how will this help Nigerians, how will this close the wage gap when you as a country have not invested in your people to develop them to be able to compete with the expatriate, why the hell are these companies bringing in expats if they could recruit locally. Another stupid leader looking for quick answers instead of observing and the deciding what the right course of action should be. We really ae a stupid race....

Good idea! Let's duplicate that in the EU and UK and US. That should bring a bit of revenue in because there are a damn sight more than 150,000 Nigerians working in those places!

Those commenting the plans will backfire or be counterproductive did you read the news article? I strongly believe why the Nigerian government decided to impose this levy is because a lot of foreign companies are exploiting Africa in the name of expatriate, there are indigenes who are more than qualified than some of these so called expatriate, there are situations where some of these foreign companies abuse the system and go to their home countries especially the construction companies and bring in masons, welders, painters , foremen and give them managerial post over there African counterpart , thereby causing capital flight, unemployment and pressure on the local currency, in the area we don't have the personnel we can welcome expatriate because no country is an island and knows everything
