Same president told the Presbyterian Church that homosexuality will not become legal on his watch, he can't have it both ways if he refuses to sign it off that could have implications for the next election. Last time I checked in Ghanaian history, there is plenty of evidence supporting that LGBTQIA+ were always apart of Ghanaian traditions and cultures. Here are a few examples for your free history lesson.

Nzema people had a tradition of same-sex marriage of adult men marrying each other usually with a 10 year gap between them. These marriages were called Agyale. The Asante courts would also take on male concubines. Nankani also had female to female marriages. Fante spiritually believed those of either sex with heavy souls were attracted to women whereas those with light souls were attracted to men.

Its almost as if people using the "culture", "family values", and "tradition" excuse is aload of bs and have become so versed in abrahamic beliefs that they have forgotten what their own traditions and cultures actually are that they have become invisible to their own ancestors.

Even moreso that Christians can never back up any of their claims with evidence and instead just throw bible quotes just like how you can't prove anything in the bible that plagiarized from other belief systems older than it like the Jesus and Horus story or the Noah Flood and The Epics of Gilgamesh. Also, the fact holidays like Easter and Christmas come from Pagan beliefs of Europe of Saturnalia.

Case in point, Christian and Islamic values isn't Ghanaian much less African values. Thank you.

But I guess this is what happens when Christianity or any religion ingeneral is allowed to run rampant, it eats away at your ability to think critically, logically, or reason to allow for blind faith and never to question.

It became the second largest economy through the US moving manufacturing jobs to China where labor laws are practically nonexistent, and independent unions are illegal outside the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, which is heavily co-opted by bosses (who themselves are often members) and the State (who runs this “union”).

China's economy and its economic models absolutely depend on export markets to survive and vast majority of those markets are to America and Western Europe. They are highly dependant on western markets and are subjected to the weaponization of the US dollar. One US sanction and its entire economy would blow up in smoke.

America calls China out because it is an oppressive, authoritarian state with infamous human right abuses.

I wouldn't call USA bullying China for wanting to protect Taiwan sure for economic reasons probably as its the number 1 Chips manufacturer in the world for important technologies. That just makes China a warmongering, imperialist state.

So, you have got it totally wrong. I'm a Humanist.

Also, while Lybia was quite a successful country, economically, it was an extremely authoritarian state. You ended up with a country where women/children could be kidnapped for Gaddafi's harem while being quite rich, with decent education. In these conditions, it is not shocking that the country revolted. Also, Libyans (NTC) requested for NATO's help but in the end, Gaddafi was captured and killed by his own people.

NATO can only directly declare war if an allied NATO state is a victim of an armed attack activating Article 5. Ukraine is not a member state and going to war directly with Russia to protect Ukraine would start WW3 and probably Nuclear War ending all of humanity in a Nuclear Winter. So, they are indirectly helping Ukraine through financing, offering logistics, and sending arms to Ukraine. Of course I see this as the US pumping their arms industry with Russian and Ukrainian lives to profit off.

Also, the only reason Ukrainians are pulling back now is because Ukraine is running out of the supply of weapons and that the current House GOP speaker is upholding the aid bill that was passed in the US Senate. Russia is taking heavy causalities trying to win back a few villages by sending human waves over the frontline but Ukraine can easily take back all of the lost terrorities if deliveries are made on time. Ukraine doesn't want any Russian land and Putin doesn't have the balls to fire nukes because that would be the end of him too.

Fundamentally I’ll have to state that I am for human freedom and understand that men have the rights to make their own laws in their own sovereign states. The United States do not have the right to tell Ghana how to govern herself. The bill in parliament does need some looking into. On the surface it looks like a hate bill. Imprisoning homosexuals and advocates for the LGBTQ community will be bring some undesired consequences and we have to be fully aware of that. Let not turn our society into one where we cannot hear opposing views.
The issue of sexuality is a conversation we need to have. I’m scared what is happening in the US may happen in Ghana where people cannot openly discuss this. You cannot freely express yourself for fear of being called a homophobe hence everyone is out there pretending. The reverse is going to happen in Ghana where people who ask critical questions are going to lose their freedom for that.
I am for laws against the practice as long as our present society is against it but I’m also for an open discussion where we can freely discuss the issues concerning this bill. We don’t want to turn out as hateful people against people who fundamentally need help. Many of the people in this so-called communities have mental health problems and need psychological help.
I will have a piece where I will share how the community is fundamentally against themselves. For the lack of words, I use community for them but in truth there’s no LGBT plus minus community anywhere but there are Ghanaians who definitely are into such practices and we need to look at it.

While I do not support any legislation targeting the LGBT community, I strongly condemn the the USA government for trying to be a bully and a stinking hypocrite. The USA is comprised of many states. Some of these states in the USA have state laws that have specifically targeted members of the LGBT community, while other state laws target abortion rights. Has the Biden government imposed sanctions of any kind on these states in the USA that have passed anti-LGBT laws? But when it comes to African countries, the USA government is always quick to cry foul while threatening sanctions or restrictions of various kinds. That's hypocrisy and bullying.
