  OSABARIMA, you have spoken it all. What can Akuffo Addo do when Chiefs, Parliamentary Candidates, MPs, Members from all Parties, Churches and Mosques are all involved. Even the Police and the Military Officers sent to check and stop Galamsay become involved with the dealers. What can be done to stop Galamsay when everybody is involved?
  Besides, Galamsay got out of hand from the time of Jeremiah John Rawlings whose wife Konadu had miners working for her. When Nana Addo became the President, Galamsay was already entrenched and had got out of hand. There was/is no way he can use a magic wand to stop it
  I remember going to Abuakwa State College. Students were on vacation and the School’s Football field at the center of the school was where Galamsay was taking place. Yes and it was going on at Kibi Training College. With rising unemployment, and workers not paid by John Mahama for years, the best alternative to make money without stealing was to be involved in Galamsay.   Galamsay cannot be easily fought in African Democracy where the laws don’t work and there is high unemployment rate. Have you checked to find out the magnitude of Galamsay before Nana Addo came to office? What did Jeremiah John Rawlings and Mahama do about Galamsay when it reached its apogee during their time in office? How can Nana Addo check on Galamsay when Assemblymen/women, Chiefs,the Police, Military, MPs and some members of the Judiciary are even involved? Galamsay cannot easily be fought when there is this high unemployment rate and every Ghanaian wants to become rich overnight.
  There is very little Nana Addo can do even if he declares a State of Emergency. Let us blame the whole society for our greed.
