Factories, companies etc are the driving force behind any economy with demand and supply being the end game. NDC did absolutely nothing about these things, and they are going around spreading fake news about something called "24-hour economy".

All the private factories set up in Ghana under NPP government cannot be forced to hire people to support that stupid 24-hour nonsense Mahama is pushing down our throats.

The next president has a herculean task to take the country out of economic woods. To do this we need workable economic policy and efficient implementation of the policy. To avoid idiotic policy, good research on why our economy has been drifting away to the valleys since 1960s, needs to be done. Flimsy assurances and wishful thinking should give way to concrete plans to overcome the economic challenges. Let's point out the obvious economic conditions in the country: A) Lack of food security in the face of geopolitical tensions. How do we ensure that we have efficient, productive agricultural sector to bring down food inflation? B) We are commodity- dependent country and suffer from global swings in prices. How do we add value to earn more revenue and create employment? How do we create manufacturing base, using our local raw materials? Inefficient tax collection and a lack punishment for many tax evaders, especially, businessess, those who are rich and politically connected. C) Illicit outflow of funds. How do we put a stop to this practice which harms the country? D) Exchange rate depreciation. Is Bank of Ghana doing enough to curb currency manipulation by forex dealers? E) External borrowing and serving of debts. Interest payment on these debts hamper infrastructure development. How do we tackle the debt debacle? F) Poor economic governance and over bloated administration. How do we use our resources optimally? G ) Is our education program producing the skills needed in our economy? H) Energy security needed to run an economy be spelled out. I) The major concern in our society today is the culture of corruption which is hampering many economic projects. Greed has over come common sense. Challenges and potential solutions should be made as a Blue Print for all the parties to implement without failure when in power. This Blue Print must be compiled by eminent personalities in the country. All interested groups can submit their minds to the panel to draft the economic Blue Print. We can overcome our economic challenges like Singapore did. All we need is good leadership. If we misdiagnose the problems the cure will not happen.
