  This discussion exposes the very people Ghanaians in general have vasted their lives to. Being a MP, is not to say, you are super human being. Their best job is to put in place a system that works for all Ghanaians so that when they are NO LONGER MPs, it benefits them as well. To say that they must be locked after borders on corruption.

  The MPs, like every working Ghanaian, must be made to pay into the SSNIT for their old-age benefits.

  The former MPs live in the society like all of us . Fortunately for them they had opportunity to change things but because of party fanaticism and corruption they refused to do so. Their dereliction of duty has come back to haunt all of us. Former teachers , drivers ,carpenters, civil servants, etc. are all suffering like the MPs because the latter failed to ensure the judicious use of the national resources. Soon the Article 71 benefits will also be removed.

  Most Ghanaian MP's are very corrupt and don't deserve to live neither immediate members of their families. They come to Parliament broke and leave as millionaires. They may be targeted after they leave office ,all their stolen wealth must be confiscated and they should never be allowed easy passage anywhere in Ghana.

  This is very sobering thought. If an MP was a teacher before becoming MP, the logical followup after parliament is to go back to being a teacher. On the contrary what are we learning from this story? That becoming MP is a one-way ticket wealth. No wonder it is reported that many MPs including, possibly, Hon Sam George, now live in Trasacco. Citizens, are we supposed to be silent? Where are the "Fix the Country" people?
