A well orchestrated action by cronies of the IGP on his instruction. All indications points to the fact that the IGP is the greatest beneficiary of this action and the one sponsoring same. The heads of prisons,fire and immigration are virtually retirees on contract and will not involve themselves in this frivolous and vexatious action. The plaintiffs are just too cheap to the extend that the IGP has succeeded in using money and recruitment slots in the service to get them to initiate this action to secure his position. The president's power to appoint and fire security heads should be a non negotiable powers since it goes a long way to secure the executives grip on its security capos so as to also secure it's interest and trust in them. It will therefore be suicidal and dangerous for the executive to work in a political dispensation where all it's security heads are perceived opposition loyalists. Dampare is soo power drunk. Why was the military not mentioned in the pleadings and all the examples cited in Support of the Application are past police heads. Hiring and firing by the executive of it's security capos should be purely a political decision looking at our past history of military coups in Ghana. Dampare is a threat to national security and should be fired now.

However, as an executive president, he or she has the power to relief these officers if they are nonperforming. You can't force an employer to keep a nonperforming employee on the job. This will not wash. The useless court can say whatever they want after all Yoni Kulndi et al are packed there for things like this but trust me JM will deal with all the nonperforming officers including Dampare come January 2025.

Kofi Bentil was part of his defence team that appeared with Dampare at the leaked tape committee. Franklin Cudjoe of IMANI together with his team and some other CSOs went to see the speaker in an attempt to frustrate and/or halt the leak tape probe of Dampare and up to date nothing meaningful has come out of that probe. This Dampare guy is a national security threat and the government must be careful. Ndc must be concerned about this action. Dampare wants to gag the executive and entrench himself.

Per the dictates of our 1992 constitution, the president is immune to any legal action while in office and can therefore dismiss or fire the IGP immediately before he becomes a thorn in the flesh of the NPP. Despite the pendency of this action,the president can go ahead and dismiss or fire the IGP without being cited for contempt whatsoever.
