They originally wandered into present day Nigeria from Kongo, first with the Tiv People and later joining the Yoruba. Because of their cantankerous ways, they don’t fit with others so they get sacked. From Nigeria, they next settled with the Fon People in Dahomey. But again, they were sacked for rampant intoxication and for making teenage and underage Girls pregnant. When they refused to move, the Chief Priest of Dahomey caused the appearance of snakes from one end of the country to another. The Ewes finally left for present day Togo. In Togo, the incurred the anger of King Agorkoli of Notsie after his beloved spirit cat was stolen and cooked by Ewe men. At that point, Agorkoli cursed them that stealing, Akpeteshie and defilement of children will follow them wherever the go. Last Stop, they took refuge in Ghana with the curse. Everywhere they go, Agorkoli’s anger follows them.

They lived in Benin city Nigeria....no one could deal with their inward attitude so the Yorubas kept pushing them out from Benin to Togo ...it was us Akans who saved them...they steal use our names like yao, koku, kofi
...yet they claim, they are better than us...they try to steal our kente cuz we taught them... No one weaves kente in Benin city where they came from. They became very rich in Rawlings era n instead of building their city, they sent their kids abroad. An ewe kid abroad is no more an ewe...so they hardly associates with their people after success...don't blame them. There is so much jealousy, many camouflage their success to stay alive. They will kill you.
