Since we do not have explict Forces (Military, Police, Air Force etc) University in Ghana, the various academies( Military Academy, Police College, Nautical College) are the equivalent post-secondary/tertiary institutions,

Think about it GIMPA, GIJ etc are all running up to Doctorate, even though the do not have University appended to their names :)

how would such a criminal posting himself as police officer would force somebody in handcuff to a police station.
it could be
1. the person he the fake officer arrested refused to yield to the demand. and had insisted to take him to the station.
we have such fake people posting themself as officers but are criminals .

how is the police service going to educate the public to help nab these scrupulants in the system.

2. Ghana police service should stop eliciting money from the public.

3. you must start writing letters to invite suspects to the police stations for what ever questions, charges and processing for court.

let us do away the Colonia era system of policing .

sometimes you could see the issue at hand is just nothing but you could see the police parading with all forces as if they are at war. meanwhile a common invitation letter could have solve the misunderstanding.

4. Ghana police service must be the first institution to respect the Rights of the people and should work within the framework of the law.

if it is not the uniform, you are not stronger than anybody. so please don't take the respect we have for the uniform as a free lance visa to bully the public.
