Afia Serwa, let us be careful. Even Hoenyenugah, at the apogee of his actions, did not order the arrest of Opuni. He rather summoned the doctor to justify his medical opinion. An excuse duty is a medical directive issued by a Doctor, a member of the exalted profession of Medicine, for compliance. If Afia has any doubts, it should be addressed to the Doctor.
A person, due to appear before a court, if he suddenly develops diarrhoea or is vomiting, could and should, on his own volition, bring the fact to the notice of the court. Medical directives are not subject to the prior approval of a court before compliance. A pregnant woman, directed to take complete bed rest, is to immediately comply.
Afia Serwa, kindly always keep in view, the MOTOR RESPONSE of law enforcement agents to judicial decisions.
The understanding of a bench warrant by the Police is that on sighting the person they are to IMMEDIATELY take him into custody for presentation to the court at a later opportunity.
Any health impairment or even death suffered by the person would be the consequence of a judicial act.
It is time the Ghana Medical and Dental Council as well as the Ghana Medical Association, jointly address issues FORMALLY to the appropriate quarters. It is already one too many.

2.3 million Euros gone wasted and these people are walking freely? Meanwhile the hungry young fellow who stole plantain or chicken is languishing in jail. What is wrong with our legal system? The fake ambulances are there for everyone to see that it is not even fit for conversion into trotro let alone using it as ambulance. Mercedes-Benz factory is in Germany so why was these cargo trucks imported from Dubai? Ato Forson and his accomplices must refund the money to the state. This is not politics of witch hunting as usual.
