  This is governed by Marriages Act (Cap 127) and is the only, strictly monogamous legal means of marriage in Ghana

  We humans just like to practice hypocrisy. God never ordained any marriage. Marriages are legitimatized by governments, religions or cultural practices. This issue about misusing God's name to cement human hypocrisy can also be found in the in religious marriages, where a couple is deemed to have made vows to God, even though the persons who composed those vows are humans and not God. Reminds of me insurance companies not paying for damages caused by natural disasters, claiming they're acts of God. And no single human can prove that God causes tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and sunames. So why not just refuse to pay based on a clause that stipulates natural disaster instead of a claim of "act of God"? When humans finally decide to put aside their hypocritical dependence on religious verbiage in instruments, the will be a clearer path for people to follow.
