The economy that is in shambles is far better than what Akuffo Addo inherited from Mahama. At least he has managed to keep the lights on. Teachers and nurses allowances are being paid. Workers receive their salaries every month, our roads are being fixed, FSHS has been implemented, our railways are coming to life once again, agenda 111 and many health infrastructure, every senior high school has seen some form of infrastructure and many more. If a bad economy can deliver these goodies, some of which the Mahama administration considered impossible, then I pray that the economy should continue to be bad, so we keep enjoying these things.

If rigging was that easy they shouldn't have lost. If you lose you lose. EC can't change results which everyone has a copy at the polling station level. Only dumpsters believed the NDC claim of rigging in the 2020 elections despite the fact that they went to court without the primary election records. I would forgive their shambolic petition if that was the first ever presidential petition. But, the NPP petitioned in 2012 and they had a case study to reference. It was all about the pink sheets and figures. Not administrative lapses which were inconsequential to the elections outcome.

For example, in order to expand the tax base, the visionary VP (DMB) knew we needed a National ID for all Ghanaians, which will also be associated with your tax ID. Afterwards he embarked on mobile money interoperability, which facilitates free flow of money for business. If Adongo can't see these digitalization initiatives as enhancing economic activity, he must quit calling himself an economist.

That's the problem with the NDC archaic ecomists. There's no disconnect between economy and digitalization. Everything we do in life is linked positively or negatively to our economic wellbeing. If digitalization will streamline administrative processes, reduce time and financial wastage and revolutionize the way we do businesses, then what is the shift here? We have tried in vain to build an economy without systems. Bawumia is putting in place the systems. It is high time we tell the NDC to acknowledge that.
