  Ghana has no reason playing second fiddle to Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa in sports on the continent. Ghana doesn't lack talents in any sport what we lack is Government Policy on Sports development. Once we get that sorted out and followed through by all successive Government I don't think Ghana will be playing catch up.
  From 1963 - 1970, Ghana played in 4 Afcon finals winning 2 and by '78 won our 3rd and 4th by '82. At these times Cameroon hasn't even won a single Afcon so how come Cameroon now has 5 winnings as against Ghana's 4? Egypt had won just two Afcon titles when Ghana won her 4th in '82, how come Egypt now has won 7 titles and Ghana is still hanging on 4? The earlier Ghana understood that its now lagging behind in Sports the quicker to restart the rebuilding process.
