Sad news. Condolences to the bereaved families.
Anyway, "fatal" already means there's been a death. So simply say, "3 police officers die in accident". Also, how do you know they were gallant?

Fatal does not necessarily mean there is record of death. Fatal means there has been serious damage. The damage can be to the vehicle, other objects or severe injuries to humans or death. Check the meaning of fatal in the ...

You are right, but this particular accident was caused by a good road. The vehicle was on top speed and bursted a tire, so the driver lost control. The scene was very traumatic.

It is unfortunate we lost three lives. This should be a lesson to all drivers, especially police drivers who sometimes think they are above the law and death because of the uniform.

There are just too many lives lost to traffic accidents.
The solution is to build a wall dividing the roads so that vehicles will travel in one direction only in both opposing lanes. In the event that a vehicle breaks down in the highway, the refex triangles must be placed on the roads to warn drivers of a vehicle breakdown and also to have the driver and mate directing traffic in the absence of the police until the vehicle is towed . Any breakdown vehicle left unattended should be seized or the driver arrested and fined. Drivers must have access to a 24 hour towing company to call in such a case.
Our streets must be safe to drive on with solar powered street lights and filled potholes. Drunk drivers must lose their privileges to drive by suspending their drivers licenses. Speed limits must be enforced, overloading of passengers must be enforced. We need to save lives on the roads.
