Busia beach has rip currents you can be pulled from shallow water in seconds to the deeper side .
West African beaches in general have stronger rips and current. The sea is not advisable for swimming without proper protection and strict security measures.

Busua has severe RIP currents. There have been quite a few drownings at this beach. There should be life guards. But it akso states they were tipsy so yhey probably miscalculated the steength/direction of the currents
